GO Logic operates on the principle that architectural excellence is fully compatible with the highest levels of building performance, comfort, health, material sustainability, and cost efficiency. Among the first firms in North America to embrace the Passive House approach to energy efficiency and indoor air quality, we have applied its stringent, verifiable standard to every project we have built since our founding, in 2008.
Our integrated design/build model of architecture and construction streamlines the client experience and enables us to continuously hone our designs, detailing, material selection, and production efficiency. Continuous feedback between the design studio and the construction site was essential in developing our unique system of prefabricated, panelized construction and our acclaimed portfolio of Passive House predesigns.
At the core of our practice is the conviction that architecture and construction are complementary disciplines. Both our custom projects and our predesigns embrace the imperatives of Passive House construction—including a super-insulated, air-sealed structure with continuous heat-recovery ventilation and triple-pane windows and doors—as opportunities for aesthetic expression. The result is a house that not only delivers the highest level of building performance—often producing more energy than it consumes—but is also fine-tuned to its community, its site, and the people who will call it home.
One of the earliest exponents of Passive House design and construction in North America, GO Logic principal Alan Gibson is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences, helping industry peers keep up with current building science and advancing standards in energy efficient, healthy, and sustainable design and construction.
