Efficiency Maine, in partnership with the Maine Office of State Fire Marshal, is offering free webinars to educate building professionals on the energy provisions of Maine’s new building codes, which take effect on July 1, 2021, and will apply to all new building construction in Maine.

The 2015 IECC for Maine – Residential Provisions

This 90-minute webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the residential provisions of the 2015 IECC for climate zones 6 and 7, including new administrative requirements, definitions, general requirements, building thermal envelope, systems, lighting, alternative compliance paths, existing buildings, and the combustion appliance and solar-ready appendices. Key focus areas will include prescriptive continuous insulation requirements, mandatory blower door testing, duct leakage testing, and the Energy Rating Index Alternative.
