Built on the mission of providing beautiful, sustainable, and attainable homes, BrightBuilt Home launched in 2013 as a sister company to Kaplan Thompson Architects. The goal was to fulfill a demand, following the 2012 recession, for homes that provided less environmental impact and were a sustainable investment for the future. Since our inception, BrightBuilt Home has been building well-designed homes with our original goals as the foundation for all of our projects—durability, health, sustainability, performance, and beauty, as well as an easier path to ownership. From design to celebration, BrightBuilt Home is your guide throughout the entire process. We will help you find the right design, the right builder, the right price, and the right path to your new front door.

Sustainability

BrightBuilt Home offers a flexible, replicable approach to building and design that makes Net-Zero homes more affordable and accessible than traditional methods. Features standard in every BBH design include airtight sealing, superinsulation, and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems. BrightBuilt Home was named as the Designer/Developer with the most completed Net Zero projects in North America (78) in Team Zero’s 2018 Residential Buildings Study. We continue to bring better living to homeowners, communities, and the environment we share.

BrightBuilt produced a wonderfully designed home for us…It is extremely quiet with all the insulation, interior temps stay remarkably consistent, the ventilation keep it fresh. It feels really solid, the doors and windows do not jam, rooms are all bright and cheery. We are extremely pleased with our decision to go through this process.

Today we live in the home of our dreams with no recurring energy costs. The spacious and quiet interior feels custom made for our day-to-day lives, and the solar panels and other features outside bring constant inquiries from neighbors interested in the net zero concept.
