Northeast Solar Trackers specializes in installing dual axis Solar Trackers. We found a gap in the local services for homes that don't fit the mold for roof top or racking systems. Only a small percentage of homes are able to accomplish 100 % of their electrical needs with fixed mount systems. A home must have a large enough roof surface, correct pitch, a south facing roof, and minimal tree blockage to best supply energy to the home. I first discovered solar trackers when I personally tried to accomplish solar at my residence in Durham. Being a large colonial style home, an attached barn and apartment, and a 2 bay detached garage. Sitting on 1.5 acres with very few trees and plenty of open sky. When deciding to approach the solar avenue I thought this would be no problem I have a great situation. Our roof pitch was even correct at just short of a 40 degrees. Well, I was wrong, none of my buildings face correct to get enough panels and sun to offset and then we started peppering the yard where my kids play to accomplish the short fall. Not only did it get expensive it was going to create a bunch more hurdles. So, I started researching alternatives when I stumbled on dual axis trackers. Not only could they cover my consumption they took up very little space or disruption to the yard and were as cost effective as roof mount when the 40 to 60 percent more power they provided was brought into the equation.
