The products and practices we use in our yards directly impact the quality of our lakes, rivers and ocean. Join us as we hear from Maine experts about practicing healthy yard care to protect and improve water quality for generations to come. We'll learn how to nurture healthy soil to grow healthier lawns and gardens; learn how to work with poor or contaminated soils; familiarize ourselves with Maine’s LakeSmart program; and hear from the City of South Portland about their pesticide and fertilizer ordinances –and lessons learned since their inception.
