Join Dave Colson, MOFGA's Agricultural Specialist for Southern Maine, to learn about several ways to extend the growing season into the fall by protecting your plants from the cold. Dave will discuss the benefits of growing under cover (using plastic or row cover fabric) as well as the pros and cons of several different styles of covers for garden beds. He'll also talk about how to construct these covers at home. Dave will also share information on which crops tend to grow well into the late fall, when to plant them and tips on caring for them as the weather gets colder. This class could also appeal to gardeners beyond 'beginner' level who are interested in experimenting with season extension for the first time. You will receive the link to join this webinar when you register.
