Safe. Strong. Smart. Developed and manufactured in Maine by Genest Concrete, a family-owned and operated Maine business since 1927, Comfort Block is a fully insulated concrete block system designed for a new generation of building.
Our CB-16 system is 16” thick with three layers of internally integrated insulation for superior noise control and maximum efficiency, reducing cooling and heating costs by up to 75%. Comfort Block structures are also hurricane, tornado, and fire resistant with 120+ mph wind resistance for protection in severe weather. Comfort Block naturally regulates temperature and humidity and resists mold, mildew, and pests, keeping your interior living space clean and healthy.
When you build with Comfort Block, you build for life. Engineered to maximize sustainability without sacrificing strength and durability, Comfort Block is an environmentally responsible and resource-efficient building material with a smaller carbon footprint than traditional concrete masonry construction. All of our blocks are manufactured using G-mix, a low-carbon formula for concrete that uses 50% less cement than traditional concrete blocks and incorporates at least 5% recycled content.
Building with Comfort Block is much simpler and faster than traditional masonry construction and makes it easy to construct a durable home that will last for generations with little to no maintenance. Precision engineering allows our blocks to be assembled using only masonry adhesive, and an integrated electrical channel allows for easy electrical installation after construction.
Not limited to residential construction, Comfort Block wall systems are available in five thicknesses and have numerous applications. Quickly and easily build durable garages, sheds, outdoor kitchens, free-standing walls, and more with a smaller carbon footprint and less waste of materials.
